ECITB Firewatcher

The ECITB Firewatcher Course is a one-day training program designed for workers on engineering construction sites to safely monitor fire risks and hot work areas.

What's covered

• How to identify and minimize fire hazards.
• Monitoring hot work areas (like welding or grinding).
• How to raise the alarm and safely evacuate others.
• Proper techniques for discharging fire extinguishers.
• Responding to simulated site emergencies.

Assessment & certification

A written theory exam with at least 20 multiple-choice or short-answer questions. A practical assessment showing you can respond to a fire scenario.
